Visiting College House
Prospective applicants are welcome to have a guided tour of College House through the UC Campus and Halls Tours or on our designated tour days.
Tours are by booking only. We are unable to accommodate unscheduled visits due to staff availability.
UC Campus and Halls Tours
Should you wish to tour College House, please visit the UC website link below to book (starting from 22 May 2026).

Campus and Hall Tour Dates:
May: 22, 29*
June: 5, 12, 19, 26*
July: 3, 6, 8, 13, 15, 17, 23, 31*
August: 7, 14, 21*
September: 4, 11*
* Selected dates include Ilam-only or Dovedale + Ilam Highlights tours
We encourage all prospective students to attend the University of Canterbury Halls Tours on Fridays, as this is the primary opportunity to visit College House. For those unable to attend, a limited number of alternative tour times may be available and can be requested via the booking form below. Please note that access to student rooms is not guaranteed on any tour.
College House Tours
If you are unable to attend a Friday UC Halls tour then please book below. We offer tours on selected Mondays at 11am & Wednesdays at 1pm. Tours are 30 mins max.
Online Conversations
Book a 15-minute online chat with a member of our staff. These informal conversations are an opportunity for us to learn more about your interests and goals, and answer any questions you may have about College House.

UC OPEN DAY
Rā Tōmene | Open Day at UC - 28 August 2026 - Hall Tours 9am-4pm
NO BOOKING REQUIRED FOR HALL TOURS ON OPEN DAY
College House will be offering guided tours throughout Rā Tōmene | Open Day, Friday 28 August.
You are welcome to make your own way to the hall, or take advantage of the hop-on, hop-off bus running a continuous circuit from campus.
No booking is required, though you may experience a short wait on arrival before joining a group tour. Each tour will be led by a member of our hall staff, giving you the opportunity to explore our facilities and ask questions along the way.
