Toitū Envirocare CarbonReduce Certification
Earlier this year the College House Board of Trustees approved a recommendation from the Principal to undertake what is known as the CarbonReduce certification with Toitū Envirocare. This is the government organisation that assists businesses and organisations to reduce their carbon footprint and take a sustainable approach to the way they do business. It requires a rigorous auditing process which continues on ab annual basis to maintain certification.
We are pleased to announce after several months’ preparation and a successful audit, we have achieved the CarbonReduce Certification with Toitū Envirocare. We have accurately measured our greenhouse gas emissions and are putting strategies in place to manage and reduce their impacts.
College House is now committed to sustainability as much as possible, through reducing waste, recycling, investing in renewable technologies and education and consulting with staff and students This will ensure we contribute towards reducing our carbon footprint and minimising, and hopefully reversing climate change.
