Dear College House alumni, friends and supporters,
I write as an enthusiastic supporter of the 2010 Reunion Weekend.
I am a College alumnus, a member of the Reunion Weekend Committee and I was MC at the 150th celebrations in 2000.
The impact of a place such as College House is a lot more than the physical benefit of some buildings or the insights from some great teachers. Yet these aspects are what a lot of folk think about when contemplating a reunion.
For me, and various friends with whom I have discussed this point, it is the other students that firstly come to mind. Wittingly or not they helped to form us into what we are.
Renewal of lapsed friendships and recollections of great times plus the chance to wish each other well on our next steps, are all key elements of this reunion.
The programme that has been put together is intended to achieve all of this, and more by providing the opportunity to share the camaraderie and common links we have with each other as a result of our time at College House.
There has already been strong interest from alumni of all generations and the weekend is shaping up to be a wonderful occasion.
I look forward to joining with you on the 8-10 October 2010’.
Pat Dolan (CH 1089) 1962-1964.
