Accommodation

Student are accommodated in 10 separate houses, each containing 15 rooms. The houses have distinct identities, hold house dinners and other functions, and take part in inter-house competitions.

Each floor has 5 student rooms, a bathroom, fridge and sink-bench area. With only 5 students on each floor, it is easy to feel at home, and with only 15 students in each house and numerous house activities, everyone gets to know each other quickly.

All rooms are single-study bedrooms, containing a desk, chairs, bookshelves, wardrobe, bed, and wall-mounted heater. Each room has a telephone with answerphone service. Linen and bedding are provided, and the rooms and bathrooms are cleaned twice weekly.

In recent years College House has undertaken a major programme to renovate and upgrade its buildings. Students already had the largest rooms of any Canterbury hall. All rooms have been refitted and provided with new furniture, lighting and furnishings. College House remains committed to providing the best accommodation possible.
